Nearly two-thirds of adults are undertaking some form of a diet, to a certain degree. Among all of these dieters, they have different goals they are trying to reach and different timelines in which they hope to reach them.

One consideration is a person’s genetics and their propensity to carry weight, a function of their metabolism. The other factors are obvious, diet and exercise.
Someone who is watching their calories and getting more physical activity will lose weight faster than someone who is not leading a healthy lifestyle.
Ultimately, the formula for anybody to lose weight is to put their body at a caloric deficit. This means that you are consuming fewer calories through food and drink than you are metabolically burning throughout the day. If you are on the right side of that formula, there is no other result but losing weight.
This formula can be manipulated by watching what you eat, particularly in consuming fewer calories. However, not only should calories be tracked, but just as important is making sure the calories are made up of healthy foods that are full of nutrients. What is a Healthy Weight Loss Pace?
As said above, the rate at which you lose weight will differ from person to person, but there are some rules of thumb on what is deemed a “healthy” pace. The general rule is around 1 to 2 pounds per week (according to the CDC). Most of that weight loss will be fat. If you go on a crash diet and lose more than that guideline in a week, you are also losing muscle mass, which is unhealthy for your body.
Additionally, losing too much weight too quickly can lead to a hormonal imbalance, and the hunger hormones that are affected can increase your food cravings. If you want healthy and sustainable weight loss, don’t starve yourself and go on a crash diet. Practice disciplined, healthy eating and adopt a consistent workout routine, add a diet pill for extra measure, and the weight will surely come off at a healthy pace.
